I could probably spend an entire day and all my moolah to one of the most wonderful wonderland God and third world countries created. Thrift/second-hand/vintage stores. Some friends say they wouldn’t and can’t stand wearing pre-owned clothes but maybe they never tried the magic of actually experiencing it (going there, hunting, haggling, trying it on, see if it fits, getting frustrated if it doesn’t, conjuring up images of yourself and pieces to wear it with and to what events, and getting praises from random people who you think wouldn’t really care about what you wear).

Anyway, I was suppose to have an 11 pm shift tonight but work schedules were “time space warped” into some blackhole  so I’m suddenly not working today and me and the SO decided trying thrift shops along Quiapo/Avenida/Recto. Honestly, I’m not a fan of walking and a humid weather, but oh well.

The loot: I found Buy One Take One pieces for PHP100 and I bought:

• BCBG Max Azria top
• GAP plaid shirt
• Old Navy Top
• and one unknown name BUT the fabric felt great on skin

He was suppose to be the one doing thrift shopping and it ended up with me, bag in my hand, and pockets empty.

I’m currently reading Eva and Adolf by Glenn Infield but was feeling that something’s wrong with how it was presented. A few research I did about the author proved the inkling true as many stated that Infield “never bothered to get his facts straight”.

My sister who never liked reading books was so into it and had almost finished the book in one sitting (I think she was shattered that a new pair broke her eternal  liking for the mafia duo Bonnie and Clyde).  And now I learn that most of the information we read were false.

Sigh.

Perhaps it is because we are young and we have the convenience of knowing that we have each other no matter what.

I want to take on the world, I very well know you do too. But do we have to lose each other along the process?

Methinks.

There’s something not so amazing about the weather to find yourself reduced to writing about weather itself. We’ve been constantly hitting +35 degrees and it’s not funny. Think of yourself perishing out of heat stroke or dehydration. The image is bad. Think of your pets dying of sun damage (wtf) or some weird weather stuff. That seriously is just bad.

The SO and I went to Greenhills yesterday to have his phone fixed and well, for me, to shop clothes and possibly eye shoes and other what nots. We went to a regular shop I frequent (where the sales people are real bitches if they don’t see you flashing cash/cards to buy stuff) then we scoured the pack at the second floor for his gadget. It was unfortunately a ‘No, we can’t revive your baby’ kind of situation. Tough for guys who think phones are LIFE.

We happen to pass by a booth for Greenpeace and I just had to sign up. I’ve joined the group a couple of months back and was constantly receiving updates from them via email but just wanted more information than my novice status was giving me. I filled out a sheet of paper and he gave me brochures about GMOs and the Nuclear Power Plant in Bataan. I was mum the whole time he was discussing this to me, I mean, I know things but not the kind of things he knows. It was amazing. The SO of course was talking like he’s a Greenpeace REP himself. He pretty much likes to keep himself updated with these kinds of issues.

This morning the representative called me to iron out some small details and informed me that they will be sending out ID and welcome letters come May or June. Global warming is awful, isn’t it? Although it can’t be reversed, I’m glad that I can probably do something and slow it down. I’m excited.

Since I don’t blog anywhere else at binura ko na lahat ng blogs ko.  Ilalagay ko lang dito na tinanung ako ni Ayanne (co-worker) kung ano ang phlebitis at thromophlebitis. At so far tama naman ang sagot ko despite of matagal na pagkakawalay sa hospital work.

Phlebitis – vein inflammation.

Thrombophlebitis – phlebitis related to blood clot.

Thrombus – blood clot.

Thrombosis – formation of blood clot.

Mukhang walang kwentang post diba? Pero ipopost ko pa din. Marami pang ganito in the future. Lahat ng matanung saken na di ko masagot. Hehe.
