I could probably spend an entire day and all my moolah to one of the most wonderful wonderland God and third world countries created. Thrift/second-hand/vintage stores. Some friends say they wouldn’t and can’t stand wearing pre-owned clothes but maybe they never tried the magic of actually experiencing it (going there, hunting, haggling, trying it on, see if it fits, getting frustrated if it doesn’t, conjuring up images of yourself and pieces to wear it with and to what events, and getting praises from random people who you think wouldn’t really care about what you wear).
Anyway, I was suppose to have an 11 pm shift tonight but work schedules were “time space warped” into some blackhole so I’m suddenly not working today and me and the SO decided trying thrift shops along Quiapo/Avenida/Recto. Honestly, I’m not a fan of walking and a humid weather, but oh well.
The loot: I found Buy One Take One pieces for PHP100 and I bought:
- BCBG Max Azria top
- GAP plaid shirt
- Old Navy Top
- and one unknown name BUT the fabric felt great on skin
He was suppose to be the one doing thrift shopping and it ended up with me, bag in my hand, and pockets empty.
Gawa sa DVD at libro ang
aming kwarto. Singtaas ng langit
ang kisameng
maaabot lang pag nakahiga
at titingala.
Disabled ang wind chimes dito.
Ang sole function ng
nag-iisang bintana ay merely-
pagdura at pagpapakain sa mga
pusang gala.
Fluorescent at panalangin
ang tanglaw ng bahay at buhay namin.
At oo naman, mahal-
ikaw din ng akin.

But obviously, we have blogs/lives of our own, we cannot, right now, sit still and be together, say, in one space.
Did I say things right?

Text ko kay Otom:
“I was standing and I was forced to sit myself down because I was overwhelmed with everyone’s reaction around and I began crying as if I knew him personally when all I ever see him in was TV. I can tell the man led a very humble life with the ‘for the people’ cause and that — minus the crowd, the music, the mural — made me felt proud for someone I do not even know. Fuck, he’s a good man”.

Yung Dying Young cd.

:: I’m never good at decision-making. I easily get frustrated and sad and depressed over little things. I wish I’m not like that. I’m a very tactless person. And insensitive. A klutz.
:: Otom sent me a text message asking what dysentery is. I hit back with a snotty “I don’t remember, maybe a bacterial stomach infection or something”. Then he says there’s a dysentery outbreak in Cavite. News here.
:: Oscar Franklin Barcelona Tan, a graduate of UP Law Class 2005 delivered Harvard’s commencement address last June 7. It’s only now that I know. He ends it with “Mabuhay at maraming salamat” (paraphrased), very mainstream, yes, but still Filipino. ![]()
:: We’re putting up something. Maybe I’ll keep both of the URLs — if it turns out fine.
:: UNTV is looking for a female host for a new morning show. Auditions were held last June 29, and I don’t know why I’m posting this here, but according to the e-mail if there’s still someone out there who would like to give hosting a shot you could contact 4110616/4143221 and ask for Kit Meily or Ehloe Tan. Haha, I don’t know why I just did that. I don’t even know this people. ![]()
